Modern Gate Designs

This style of gate will generally feature a contemporary design and clean overall lines to reflect the modern architectural space they are to live in. Whilst most modern designs are made of steel you can find a number of modern timber or metal and timber combinations on our website. We also find that when the gates are painted in a modern colour this also enhances their appearance.

Popular examples our modern driveway gate designs are the Picasso, Monaco and Bordeaux options.

 

Classic Gate Designs

This style of gate is usually more understated so that it does not dominate or detract from the existing architectural features of your property and is more about function over form when looked at from a design perspective. Generally constructed using solid steel they will feature minimal decorative elements and will have large gaps between the bars to retain an open aspect. In some instances they may feature an arch top but most will be very plain with perhaps just ball top finials for safety .

Semi Ornate Gate Designs

Following many of the same principles as the Classic style a semi ornate set of driveway gates will be largely plain in design but may feature subtle decorative elements such as fleur de lys finials, top scroll, cage infill bars or even a central design element to draw the eye in.

Farm / Field Gates

Generally made from timber a field gate is perhaps the most under rated gate design you can use. Whilst the may be simple in construction they will blend into lots of locations making them a perfect choice in the town and countryside. Furthermore, due to their construction they can span very large openings with ease making them ideal for large double driveway entrances.
