The Royale Ascot Wrought Iron Style Side Gate combines heavy-duty solid steel construction with elegant design elements. Handmade in the UK, the heavy duty solid steel framework consists of a 40mm x 30mm hanging stile, a 40mm x 10mm closing stile, and a mix of plain and twisted 16mm diameter infill bars. The design is further enhanced with the addition of two rows of wrought iron-style fleur-de-lys finials, caged metalwork, and other decorative elements. Additionally, the bottom half of the gate incorporates dog bars with reduced spacing, giving piece of mind to pet owners looking to prevent their pets from escaping onto the road.

Ordering Sizes

• Width (Fits Opening): This measurement refers to the opening size required between masonry walls or pre-existing posts. The space needed for the hinges and latch is included in this measurement so you do not need to make additional adjustments for these components.

• Height (once installed): The dimension is calculated from ground level to the top of the horizontal framework. It contains a 50mm (2") allocation for ground clearance but excludes the finials above this point.

Example Ordering Size

If the space between walls or posts is 914mm, you must select the option that "fits an opening of 914mm."

Are Metal Posts Required?

You must install metal posts if the hinges and latch cannot be attached to brickwork or existing posts. Please note that you will require more space in these instances.

Example: If you select a gate to "fit an opening of 914mm" and combine it with 2 x 100mm posts, the total width required will become 1114mm.

Width: The "fits opening" measurements listed in the dropdown menu correspond to the width needed between supports or walls. The space required for the hinges and latch has been included in this dimension. It does not represent the physical width of the gate framework.

Painting: You must paint your gate before installation to protect it against rust and corrosion (applicable to the primed option only). Alternatively, you can upgrade to a zinc-plated and black powder-coated finish for an additional charge.
