Ordering Sizes

  • Width: A critical aspect of any installation is the measurement of the existing openings. The "fits opening" dimension indicates the required opening size between existing pillars or posts. This measurement incorporates the space needed for the mounting brackets; consequently, no other calculations are necessary.

  • Physical Height: This measurement is the total height of the product. It is measured from the bottom of the horizontal framework to the top of the ball top finials. It does not include the ground clearance space needed when installing.

Do You Need to Incorporate Bolt-Down Metal Posts?

You may not be able to utilise brick pillars for your installation; in this case, we recommend you use bolt-down metal posts instead.

Ordering Example (when using posts)

  • You must have a total space available measuring 1930mm for 1 x railing (to fit an opening of 1830mm) and 2 x 50mm metal posts to fit correctly.

  • You must have a total space available measuring 3810mm to accommodate 3 x 50mm metal posts and 2 x railings (to fit openings of 1830mm).

  • You must have a total space available measuring 5690mm to accommodate 3 x railings (to fit openings of 1830mm) and 4 x 50mm metal posts.

Which Metal Posts to Choose?

Important Ordering Information About the Manor Metal Railing

Fittings: With every order for a railing, we provide a fitting kit. It has four surface-mounted brackets, along with nuts and bolts. We don't provide the screws you need to fasten the brackets to your posts or masonry.

Metal Posts: When using metal posts, you must check that the wall is wide enough to accommodate the bolt-down plate of the post.

Width: The "fits opening" dimension corresponds to the size of the aperture you need. It doesn't indicate the product's actual physical width. If you're still unclear, we advise you to refer to the measuring guide so you can completely comprehend what this implies.

Painting: The railings are electro-galvanised (zinc-plated) for added rust resistance and have a powder-coated paint finish. The black powder coating protects against the elements and does not need to be painted before installation.
