Handmade in the UK, the Royale Talisman Wrought Iron Style Estate Gates are a premium-grade product designed to provide excellent levels of protection to the main entrance of your driveway. Available to purchase online in a selection of sizes to suit a variety of opening widths, these great value double metal gates have a solid steel construction consisting of 40mm x 30mm closing stiles, 40mm x 20mm closing stiles, 10mm cross rails, 16mm round infill bars and include a double row of fleur-de-ly-finials and circular scrolls. Furthermore, the bottom comprises dog bars with reduced spacing, making them the perfect choice for keeping pets from straying onto the road. The gates come with surface-mounted adjustable hinges, an easy-to-operate latch (which you can secure with a padlock) and an in-ground drop bolt. The steel components have a black primed undercoat applied during fabrication and are ready to be painted to the colour of your choice before installation.

• During manufacture, the gates are treated with a black undercoat and primer. Before installation, you must paint all exposed surfaces with high-quality exterior-grade paint to safeguard the steel surfaces from rust and corrosion.

• Suitable for automation (you may need to make some modifications to suit the type of automation kit you use).

• Width (Fits Opening): To choose the size you require, please use the drop-down menu at the top of the page. The dimensions displayed represent the opening size into which your gates will fit. There is no need to perform further calculations because the space needed for both hinges and the latch is included in these measurements.

• Height (once installed): This measurement incorporates a 50mm allowance for ground clearance. It is measured vertically, starting from the ground and ending at the top of the horizontal framework. When calculating this measurement, we have not included the finials welded to the top of the frame.

Example Ordering Size

Choose "fits opening 3350mm" from the drop-down option when the distance between your brickwork, posts, or other existing support structure is 3350mm.

Do You Need to Include Metal Posts?

If you add metal posts, remember that these components will occupy additional space. 

Example: If the size choice "fits opening 3350mm" is selected and you add two metal posts measuring 150mm each, the total amount of space required rises to 3650mm.

Important Information About the Royale Talisman Estate Gates 

Fittings: The Royale Talisman design comes with hardware that makes installation straightforward. We provide 1x latch fitting, 4 x surface-mounted adjustable hinges and an in-ground drop bolt with every pair of gates. We do not provide the screws and bolts required to attach the hinges to the support structure.

Posts: In-ground posts must be embedded in concrete to ensure stability. Ensure you use the proper amount of concrete and avoid adding pebbles or other materials that might compromise the post's stability.

Installation: If you intend to put the hinges directly onto existing brickwork, you must only use masonry, which can sustain the additional weight of the gates. If you want any further information, please refer to the installation instructions.

Width: The "fits opening" requirements in the menu display the opening size required between your posts or walls. It does not show the product's physical width. If you're unsure what size to order, we recommend reading our page on "how to choose the correct size".

Painting: The Royale Talisman Wrought Iron Style Estate Gates are delivered with a black primed undercoat already applied. Before installation, you must paint all the steel surfaces to prevent rust and corrosion.
