These fantastic value double metal gates are available to buy online in various dimensions to accommodate a diverse range of opening widths. They have solid steel construction and feature 40mm x 30mm closing stiles, 40mm x 20mm closing stiles, 10mm cross rails, 16mm round infill bars, and a double row of fleur-de-ly-finials and circular scrolls. Additionally, the bottom section includes dog bars with decreased spacing, which is great for deterring dogs from wandering onto the street. The gates have surface-mounted adjustable hinges, a simple latch (that you can secure with a padlock), and an in-ground drop bolt. The metal pieces have a black primed undercoat applied during construction and are prepared for painting to your desired colour before installation..

• The Talisman design is suitable for automation, although you may need to make some modifications to suit the type of motor used.

Ordering Sizes

• Width (Fits Opening): Please use the drop-down box at the top of the page to specify your desired size. The measurements given depict the opening size into which your gates will fit. No further calculations are required because the space needed for the hinges and the latch is accounted for in these dimensions.

• Height (once installed): This dimension includes a 50mm provision for ground clearance. The height is measured vertically, from the floor to the top of the framework. We have not included the finials affixed to the top of the frame when specifying this measurement.

Example Ordering Size

When the width between your brickwork, posts or other existing support structure measures 4570mm, choose "fits opening 4570mm" from the drop-down menu.

Do You Need to Include Metal Posts?

If you need to include metal posts, please be aware that these elements will occupy additional space. 

Example: If the size option "fits opening 4570mm" is selected, and two metal posts measuring 150mm each is included, the total amount of space required is 4870mm.

Important Information About the Royale Talisman Arched Estate Gates 

Fittings: Hardware that facilitates installation is included with the Royale Talisman design. We provide you with one latch fitting, four surface-mounted adjustable hinges, and an in-ground drop bolt with each set of gates. The screws and bolts needed to attach the hinges to the support framework are not included.

Posts: You must only use posts of the correct type and size. In-ground posts should permanently be embedded in concrete. 

Installation: If you wish to install the hinges directly onto existing brickwork, you must only use masonry that can withstand the extra weight of the gates. Please refer to the installation instructions if you require any more information.

Width: The size of the opening needed between your posts or walls is given in the menu under "fits opening" parameters. It does not depict the physical width of the product. We recommend reading our "how to pick the proper size" page if you're unsure what size to get.

Painting: The Royale Talisman Arched Wrought Iron Style Estate Gates feature a pre-applied black primed undercoat. You must paint all steel surfaces before installation to combat rust and corrosion. Alternatively, please get in touch with us before completing your order if you'd like to upgrade to a low-maintenance electro-galvanised (zinc-plated) and black powder-coated paint finish.
