  • Width: The "fits opening" proportions indicate the width of the opening needed between your existing pillars or posts. The space required for the mounting brackets is included in this measurement therefore it is not necessary to do any further calculations.

  • Physical Height: This is calculated by measuring the distance between the bottom and top of the horizontal rails. It excludes any ground clearance that you might need.

Do You Need to Use Bolt-Down Metal Posts?

If you are not mounting the railings between existing brick pillars, you will need to use bolt-down metal posts. As a result, you must factor in the extra space required for these components.

Ordering Example (when using posts)

  • The overall length required for 1 x railing and 2 x 50mm bolt-down metal posts is 1930mm.

  • The overall length needed for 2 x railings and 3 x 50mm bolt-down metal posts is 3810mm.

  • The overall length required for 3 x railings and 4 x 50mm bolt-down metal posts is 5690mm.

Which Metal Posts to Choose?

Our bolt-down metal posts have a universal design to enable more straightforward installation. They have a plate welded to the bottom of the post that you must secure to the top of the wall using the appropriate fixings.
