• Picasso metal gates are manufactured in the UK using 20mm x 8mm frames, 10mm round infill bars and 10mm x 3mm circular scrolls.

• Includes easy to install surface mounted adjustable hinges, latch and drop bolt.

• The gates are primed black with an undercoat ready for you to paint them to the colour of your choice before installation.

Ordering Sizes

• Width (Fits Opening): The "fits opening" sizes listed in the menu refer to the opening width you will need between existing brickwork or posts. We have already included the space required for the hinges and latch within these sizes. You should, therefore, not make any further allowances for these items. To avoid any confusion, this means that if your gap between brick pillars measures 9ft 6", you should order the gates to "fit opening" 9ft 6".

• Height (once installed): We have incorporated an allowance of 50mm (2") for ground clearance within the height dimension. It is measured from ground level to the top of the horizontal frame. We have not included the ball top finials above the frame within this measurement. 

Do you Need to Buy Metal Posts?

If you need to purchase metal posts, you will need to factor in the extra space that these items will require.

Example: The Picasso double drive gates that are fabricated to "fit an opening" of 9ft 6" combined with 2 x 2" posts will require a total overall space of 9ft 10".

Useful Information About the Picasso 4ft High Metal Driveway Gates

Fittings: You will receive a comprehensive fitting pack with the gates. We include the surface-mounted adjustable hinges, latch and drop bolt. The screws you will require to connect to the hinge brackets to brickwork or posts will not be included within the fitting pack.

Posts: If you need to fit posts to support the gates, you must select the correct size and type to suit your installation. In all instances, they should be set into the ground and be supported using concrete.

Installation: Hinge brackets should only be fixed to existing masonry structures if you are confident they can support the weight of the gates. For further information, please take a look at the installation guide.

Width: As described within the "ordering sizes" section above, the width measurements refer to the actual opening size and are not the physical width of the gates. Please click here to clarify this if you are still unsure exactly what this means.

Painting: Picasso driveway gates have a factory applied black primer paint applied during manufacture. This is an undercoat only; therefore, all exposed metal surfaces will need to be treated with rust-resistant paint before installation to prevent corrosion. Alternatively, don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you would want to upgrade to our low maintenance zinc plated (electro galvanised) and black powder-coated paint finish.
