• Width (Fits Opening): These measurements relate to the width of the opening between two existing walls or posts. The dimensions already account for the space taken up by the hinges and latch. No additional calculations are required.

• Height (once installed): This contains a ground clearance allowance of 50mm (2"). This dimension is from the ground to the top horizontal frame. It does not include the scrollwork above this point.

Example Ordering Size

If the width of your brickwork opening or the current gap between posts is 1220mm, you must choose a gate designed to fit a 1220mm opening.

Are Metal Posts Required?

Metal posts must be installed if there is no support for the hinges or latch. Kindly take note that these items will occupy additional space.

Example: A gate to fit an opening of 1220mm combined with 2 x 50mm metal posts will require an overall width of 1320mm.
