At 1.8m in height, the gate features a secure and robust framework, diagonal bracing on the rear face to prevent sagging and twisting. Metal infill bars are fitted in the top portion of the gate, whilst spear top finials across the top horizontal rail provide additional design appeal. Useful Information About the Hampton Wooden Gate

Fittings: No gate furniture is included as standard. If you need to add these items to your order, please choose the appropriate fitting pack from the options and accessories menu at the top of the page.

Posts: For ease of installation, we recommend the use of wooden posts when installing the gate. Wall mounted posts should be securely mounted to any existing masonry structure using suitable size bolts (not included). For stand alone installation, posts should be set into the ground to a depth of approximately 600 – 900mm and supported with of concrete. Please note that for either application, the gap formed should be 20mm wider than the physical width of the gate to ensure sufficient space is available for the hinges and latch to operate free from obstruction.

Finish: The timber used to construct this gate is pressure treated to help protect against rotting and decay. This process will result in the gate having a slight green tint to it which is normal. Over time this will fade down therefore if you wish to stain or paint the gate, please allow sufficient time for this to occur to avoid the chances of the colour bleeding through to the surface.

Installation: Hook and band hinges are recommended when installing this gate. To ensure maximum support, they should be securely fixed to the top and bottom horizontal rails. For more information refer to the installation guide.
