Drayton Shaped Top Wooden Driveway Gates | 1.25m High

The Drayton Shaped Top Wooden Driveway Gates feature a timeless archtop for a distinct appearance at an affordable price. Measuring 1.25m to the highest point and 95cm at the shoulder, they can be installed with either a high or low centre configuration depending on your personal preferences. Handmade in the UK to an industry-leading standard, these excellent value driveway gates will blend with any type of architecture. This makes them suitable for any entrance that would benefit from additional security without compromising on aesthetic appeal. The Drayton design is constructed from low maintenance pressure treated timber and benefits from a 70mm thick mortise and tenon jointed frame. Horizontal rails are included to prevent twisting and warping whilst the vertically set tongue and groove boards run the full height of each gate for added privacy.

Useful Information About the Drayton Shaped Top Wooden Driveway Gates

Width Dimensions: Drayton shaped top wooden driveway gates are sold as a pair. The dimensions listed in the menu above correspond to the total width of both gates. For clarity, this means that each pair comprises of the following:

• 2400mm pair = 2 x 1200mm

• 2700mm pair = 2 x 1350mm

• 3000mm pair = 2 x 1500mm

• 3300mm pair = 2 x 1650mm

• 3600mm pair = 2 x 1800mm

Height Dimensions: This dimension is measure from the bottom of the gates to the highest point. No allowance has been made in this measurement for ground clearance so you will need to factor this in when installing.

Fittings: No fittings are included as standard. If you need to add these items to your order, please choose from the options and accessories menu.

Posts: For ease of installation, we recommend that wooden gates be installed using wooden posts. Wall mounted posts fixed to an existing masonry structure are an acceptable option however for freestanding installations you will need to use in ground posts (which should be set to an appropriate depth to suit ground conditions). In both instances, to ensure enough space is available for the hinges, the opening created between the posts should be 40mm wider than the physical width of the gates.

Finish: The Drayton design is constructed from pressure treated softwood. This low maintenance finish removes the need to stain or paint the timber prior to installation. Please do note however that the pressure treatment process will result in timber having a green tint to it upon delivery. This is normal and will weather down over time to give a more natural appearance.

Installation: Hook and band hinges are only recommended when hanging the gates. They should be of a suitable size to provide the required level of support and should be mounted to the horizontal rails. For more information read the installation guide.
