The 4ft High Dalby Wooden Garden Gate will enhance the look of any home or garden. Handmade in the UK to an industry-leading standard, it features vertical timber boards within a robust, durable mortise and tenon jointed 70mm thick framework. Manufactured from smooth planed Scandinavian Redwood, the Dalby design features 3 x horizontal rails and diagonal bracing on the back face to prevent twisting. The wide choice of size options will cater to many standard opening widths without needing a made-to-measure gate.

Useful Information About the Dalby 4ft High Wooden Garden Gate

Fittings: You will need to purchase the appropriate fitting pack from the options and accessories menu above if you want to order the hinges and latch for the Dalby gate.

Posts: Wooden posts (available to order above) are recommended when installing wooden gates. If you are wall mounting the post, appropriate fixings will be required (not included). Freestanding posts should be set into concrete at a depth of 600mm - 900mm. Please note that to allow for expansion of the timber, the gap formed between the posts should be 20mm wider than the physical width of the gate.

Finish: All exposed wood surfaces should be painted or stained before installation in order to extend the life of wood and prevent decay.

Installation: When installing this gate, hook and band type hinges are recommended. The best level of support is provided when they are installed on both the top and bottom horizontal bracing. For more information, refer to our installation guide.
