The Windsor Wooden Driveway Gates feature a low maintenance pressure treated timber construction and a decorative metal infill panel within the top open section to create a visually pleasing appearance at a fantastic price. Suitable for many residential driveway applications, these stunning double wooden gates benefit from a handcrafted 70mm thick mortise and tenon jointed frame for a chunky appearance and added strength and rigidity. The back face of the gates includes horizontal rails and heavy-duty diagonal bracing to prevent sagging, twisting, and warping. The tongue and groove boards set flush with the frame provide privacy and security. Available to buy online in a range of sizes from 2400mm – 3600mm or can also be ordered in a made to measure size* to ensure the perfect fit (*manufacturing limitations apply).

Useful Information About Windsor Double Gates

Width Dimensions: Windsor wooden driveway gates are supplied as a pair. The measurement listed in the menu above refers to the width of both gates. For clarity, this means that each pair comprises of the following:

• 2400mm pair = 2 x 1200mm

• 2700mm pair = 2 x 1350mm

• 3000mm pair = 2 x 1500mm

• 3300mm pair = 2 x 1650mm

• 3600mm pair = 2 x 1800mm

Height Dimension: This is measured from the underside of the gates to the highest point. When installing, you will need to allow a small amount of space for ground clearance (usually around 50mm).

Fittings: The Windsor design does not include the fittings as standard. If you need to purchase these items, please choose a suitable fitting pack from the options and accessories menu.

Posts: When installing the gates, we always recommend that wooden posts are used. For installation between existing brickwork the use of wall mounted posts fixed to the masonry is an appropriate solution. For installation with no existing support the use of in ground posts will be required. In both instances, to ensure adequate space is available for the hinges, the gap formed between the posts should be 40mm wider than the physical width of the gates.

Finish: The Windsor design is manufactured using pressure treated softwood. This low maintenance finish removes the need to stain or paint the gate prior to installation. Please note that the pressure treatment process will result in timber having a green tint to it upon delivery. This is normal and will weather down over time to give a more natural appearance.

Installation: Hook and band type hinges are only recommended for installation. They should be an appropriate size to provide the correct amount of support and should be mounted to the horizontal rails. For more information read the installation guide.
