If the distance between brick walls or the existing posts is 762mm, you must order a gate that will "fit an opening of 762mm."

Do You Need Metal Posts?

If you place the gate in an insufficiently supported surrounding (such as a location without existing masonry or similar supports), you must install metal posts. Please be advised that if this applies to your installation, these components will take up extra room.

Example: If you buy a gate that "fits an opening of 762mm" and 2 x 50mm posts, the overall required space is 862mm.
