Corfe Metal Garden Gate

The Corfe Metal Garden Gate comes in several sizes to fit a variety of domestic purposes. It comprises a heavy-duty 25mm x 25mm box section welded steel framework, 16mm solid metal infill bars and a double row of wrought iron style fleur-de-ly finials with a primed black undercoat. For easy egress and access through any pedestrian entrance, the gate comes with adjustable hinges and an easy-to-operate latch mechanism which can be mounted directly to exiting masonry structures and timber supports or metal posts.

Ordering Sizes

• Width (Fits Opening): These measurements distinguish the necessary space between your current posts or walls. These dimensions have already included the space required for the latch and hinge elements. You do not need to make extra calculations for these parts.

• Height: This is the physical height of the gate measured from the underside of the framework to the top of the finials. You must allow approximately 50mm (2") for ground clearance when installing the product.

Example Ordering Size

If the space between your walls is 1067mm, you must purchase the width option "fits opening 1067mm" from the drop-down menu.

Do You Require Metal Posts?

To connect the hinges or latch, you must incorporate metal posts if an existing support structure is unavailable. Please check that adequate room is available for these parts if these components are required.

Example: A total space of 1207mm is necessary for a gate that "fits an opening of 1067mm" + 2 x 70mm posts.

Fittings: This product comes with two surface-mounted adjustable hinges, a latch mechanism, and a receiver plate. Because the screws needed to install these components are not included, you will need to purchase these independently.

Metal Posts: Be sure to select the right type of metal post if these components are needed. When installing them, ensure they are level and always add concrete to anchor in-ground posts.

Installation: If you put the gate on an existing masonry structure, ensure it can handle the extra weight. When installing the latch and hinges, always use the appropriate screws.

Width: The "fits opening" dimension describes the gap size needed for the gate to fit. These parameters include the space required for the latch and hinge assemblies. They do not specify the gate's physical width. If you need more information, please refer to our size selection guidelines.

Painting: Before installing the Corfe metal gate, you must paint it to eliminate rust or corrosion of the steel. For an additional charge, you may upgrade to a zinc-plated (electro-galvanised) and black powder-coated paint finish.
