Here at Garden Gates Direct we have lots of experience supplying gates, fencing and railings in a variety of paint finishes to suit virtually any residential requirement. Detailed below are some of our most popular options however if you need a finish that is not detailed don’t hesitate to contact us by phone, email or online form and we will be on hand to offer advice, discuss your options and provide a competitive quote.
Unless specifically stated within the product description all our metal gates, metal fence panels and railings are supplied as standard with a coat of black primer. This is not a final finish and therefore must not be exposed to the elements without first being painted with a least 2 coats of high grade paint. Failure to paint the gates in the proper manner which will lead to oxidization resulting in rust appearing on the surface.
If you would prefer to have the product delivered with a pre painted finish this option is ideal as it is more cost effective than powder coating and less labour intensive than hand painting.
Please be aware damage and wear and tear such as chips and scratches to the paintwork will result in surface rust appearing. Due to this we do not offer any form of warranty against rust and oxidization of the metal.
An a slightly more expensive alternative to wet painting we can also supply most of our metal products with a hardwearing powder coated finish. This option provides a lower gloss level compared to a traditional wet painted finish
If you would like to order one of our products with a powder coated finish we can offer pretty much any shade from the RAL colour chart. Here we have detailed our most popular colours
To provide enhanced protection against the elements and to help reduce the amount of time you have to spend painting your gates, railings or metal fence panels we are able to supply all our wrought iron style products with the benefit of a zinc plated and powder coated finish.
Whilst this option is the most expensive of our finishes please be aware that any scratches, marks or chips that go through to the bear metal will start to rust therefore care must be taken during installation to ensure they are not dragged or scrapped along the ground.
